Wow - very exciting!
On August 12th, Cornwall will be one of the best places in the UK to view a signifiant partial solar eclipse - the most significant since 1999.
The event will commence at 6.18pm and be visible through to 8.09pm - at its maximum, a near 96% partial eclipse occurring at 7.15pm.
From the 10th-12th we are giving away 30 pairs of solar glasses, which are recommended to be warn to view this event. These will be available from the Information Hub on Weat Looe Quay, on a first come first served basis.
We will update with a post on the best places to view this event in the coming days, as well as any local events taking place to celebrate the occasion.
