⚠️ Storm Closures over the next few days

Further to our earlier post, continued strong winds will necessitate the following closures:

📆 Friday 23 October
👉 Completely closed for the whole day. This includes the garden, visitor centre, Trebah Kitchen, the gift shop and plant sales.

📆 Saturday 24 October
👉 The garden will remain closed for the day, however the visitor centre, shops and Trebah Kitchen will be open as usual.

The Lost Gardens of Heligan will be closed on the morning of Friday, October 23 due to Storm Austen, including the gardens, shop and Heligan Kitchen.

We currently plan to open at midday but please note this is subject to reassessment as the situation develops.

Pre-booked ticket holders will be contacted directly. We'll share further updates on social media.

⚠️ With Storm Austen forecast to bring strong winds and heavy rain to the South West this Thursday evening and into Friday, the RNLI is urging everyone to take extra care around the coast.

Strong winds are expected in some coastal areas, creating dangerous conditions at beaches, cliffs and seafronts.

🚩 Some RNLI lifeguarded beaches remain open during half term, but conditions may be extremely challenging. RNLI lifeguards may fly red flags where conditions are considered too dangerous to enter the water.

🌊 Stay well back from the water's edge and avoid taking unnecessary risks.

If you get into trouble in the water, remember

If you see someone in difficulty, remember Phone, Float, Throw:
📞 Call 999 and ask for the Coastguard
🛟 Tell them to float
🔵 Throw something that floats
