Crumplehorn Cottages A lovely collection of family owned and run holiday cottages in the heart of Polperro and the exclusive Hannafore area of Looe. All with onsite private parking

We are a family run company, offering quality accommodation. Each property has onsite private parking and a pretty sun patio, situated in the seaside resorts of Polperro and Looe, South East Cornwall. All of our self catering holiday cottages are close to the beach, sea and entrance to the coastal paths.

Polperro was looking absolutely stunning yesterday afternoon in the October 🌞
The old Polperro Gaffers making a return to the harbour look beautiful back where they belong.
I reckon my old Granfer Curtis (Jimmy Molly) would approve. 🩵
If you're looking for a few nights away this week, I'm currently cleaning Crumplehorn Cottage No2, and can offer a 3 or 4 night break for two guests. Dates available between tomorrow and Saturday.

Please accept our apologies if you have been trying to contact us by phone.
BT have turned our number OFF for all incoming calls!
It will ring and ring your end, but, we can't hear the call, or answer it. So sorry.

We thought the line was quiet. But, didn't suspect anything was amiss, as we can still call out!

We have an engineer coming by to re-connect the line by Oct 22nd. (Not particularly helpful as it's a few days away)

In the meantime, we will be logging in as normal throughout the day to check email messages.

The Lady Beatrice was a famous Polperro Gaffer (A type of small, fast, gaff-rigged fishing boat often classified locally alongside traditional luggers) owned and skippered by local fisherman James "Jimmy Molly" Curtis. She was celebrated as one of the fastest gaffers of her era.
Jimmy Molly was my Great Granfer Curtis.

An interesting local custom in Polperro - you would wear a Bowler hat if you owned your own Gaffer.
Here's an old picture of him smoking his pipe, sat in The Warren shelter with friends.... If those shelter walls could talk. The stories they could tell. 🩵💙🩵💙
