The UK will experience a partial solar eclipse on Wednesday 12 August.

The extent of the Sun’s coverage and the timing of maximum obscuration will differ across the country. Local weather conditions may impact viewing opportunities, so it’s worth checking the forecast in advance 🌦️

Northeast Scotland will have around 88% covered just before 7pm, whilst in the far southwest of England there will be around 96% coverage just after 7:15pm.

Never look directly at the sun; use a pinhole projector or certified eclipse glasses to view it.

Our Sandwich Bar serves made to order subs & sandwiches to take away (including both prawns & crab), along with hot & cold drinks..... just perfect for beach day picnics, boat trips or to take for your journey home.

Open Tuesday - Sunday from 11am - 5pm.

You'll us between Buller Quay & Fore Street. If walking along Fore Street, turn under the 'arch' opposite the Ship Inn; from the quayside, turn opposite Catch fish & chips.
