IMPORTANT NEWS ABOUT OUR FUTURE.
For the past 17 years, Wringworthy has been both our family home and our business offering holidays year round to many happy, returning guests. Like many hospitality businesses, we have found the challenge of working through the pandemic both stressful and financially difficult as many of the support schemes have not been available to Furnished Holiday Lettings businesses.
With our last child going off to University in September 2020 and knowing how difficult it would be to sell Wringworthy as a going concern, we have therefore decided not to take any further bookings for the Summer 2021.

Over the next few months, we will be converting the cottages to residential houses with a view to sell them off individually next Spring. Our animals are our top priority, and they will either be re-homed or on loan to family and friends until we can finalise the sale and redevelopment.
We have had the most fantastic time meeting guests, seeing their children grow up and meeting new ones, celebrating weddings, birthdays and other significant events along with annual traditions like egg rolling, opening the swimming pool and more.
We have been blessed to have the most amazing team of staff working with us – especially Dawn our housekeeper and friend who looked after Wringworthy so that we could have family time away.
This has not been an easy decision but we know it is the right one for us as a family.
We thank you all for the friendship you have shown us over the past 17 years.
Wringworthy has been and always will be an incredibly special place in our hearts and although we are sad that this chapter in its life is ending we have to look forward to the future.

This morning, as usual we let the animals out at 9am and took some great pictures of Bertie Boy, Luna and the Looe valley.

WRINGING OUT THE APPLES!

We had such a bumper crop of apples this year that we had to do something with them and here we are pressing them to release the juice ready for drinking and making into cider. We are expecting to get at least 4 of the big plastic drums full so plenty for the freezer and for fermenting.

A few days ago you saw as teaching the apples to swim. The next stage is scratting - turning them into a pulp. So, today, as the weather is good we decide to start releasing the juice.

Its an amazing sunny Autumn day here at Wringworthy so perfect for apple picking. We had a huge crop this year and there are still more on the trees!

URGENT MESSAGE TO GUESTS

We have been closely following the guidance here at Wringworthy and keeping our guests, our staff and our community safe has, and always will be our top priority. So, following the Governments briefing yesterday we will be closed from Thursday 5th November to Wednesday 2nd December.

If you have a direct booking with us, we will contact you shortly. If you have booked through an online travel agent e.g. airbnb then please contact them directly.

We have worked exceptionally hard over the Summer following all the protocols as have all the businesses in Cornwall reflected in the low number of cases despite the high number of visitors.

We are therefore very disappointed to find ourselves closed again but look forward to welcoming you to Wringworthy in the very near future.

Its been a bit breezy over the last few days so its good job that the hen and her chicks are inside the Pole barn. They are growing up fast and will shortly be moving over into the main coop with the flock probably just in time for our October half term guests.

TEST AND TRACE CODES
The safety of our guests and our staff is paramount to us here at Wringworthy and we have been so grateful for your support in implementing our Covid safe requirements.

As from today, you will see QR codes on display in each cottage. They are individual to that cottage and we would encourage all of our guests to download the Test and Trace App and scan the cottage code daily throughout your stay. We will continue to keep our guest records as we recognise that not all guests have access to phones that support this App. If you have any questions about this then please just message us and we will do what we can to help. Thank you again to all of you who have been so fabulously supportive to us personally and our business over the last few months we really do appreciate it.
