Two of the best beaches in Cornwall…within 15 mins of the cottage!

If you're planning a beach day (or nine), South Cornwall’s coast has some of the most beautiful and varied beaches in the UK — and you can visit them all on one trip.

Here’s your beach-hopping route, in order:

1️⃣ Readymoney Beach (Fowey) – hidden cove below a castle path
2️⃣ Lantic Bay – steep to reach, totally worth it
3️⃣ Poldhu Cove – classic Lizard sand and surf
4️⃣ Gyllyngvase Beach (Falmouth) – Blue Flag, palm trees, perfect for a swim
5️⃣ Praa Sands – soft white sand and rolling surf
6️⃣ Kynance Cove – turquoise sea + rock stacks = unreal
7️⃣ Porthcurno Beach – near the Minack, unbelievably scenic
8️⃣ Pedn Vounder – crystal-clear water, hidden feel
9️⃣ Nanjizal – no roads, no shops, just peace and waves

📍 Walkers, swimmers, sunbathers, and photographers — there’s a beach for every mood.

Lantic Bay looking like something from the southern Med…it’s on a beautiful coastal walk and the walk remains one of our favourite things to do…especially on a warm day. (For those fancying a swim on an always near empty beach - it’s a LONG way down and back up again on a steep path, and the water deepens quickly - one to have you wits about you. There are better beaches for young kids).
