If you love kayaking and/or paddleboarding, or want to have a go and learn, then The Fowey based Encounter is a fantastic company, based very close to Penpoll. Lessons, SUP and kayak hire plus guided expeditions from the experts - and all on the doorstep - it couldn’t be easier from Penpoll, where you can launch from our private orchard riverbanks and join in the fun on the creek.

This is a fabulous way to enjoy the beauty of the river and get close to amazing birds and for children to learn a new skill@and have fun under careful supervision. Can’t get better than that!🤍

It couldn’t be easier.. launch from our orchard’s bank at high tide or the brilliant Penmarlem visitor moorings are a two minute drive away for larger vessels ⛵️🚤

Friday evening, at the end of another super busy week, is appropriate timing to share this quote, don’t you think? (Whilst also framing the ultimate Cornish river view from Penpoll!)

Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is slow down ✨

A quiet morning, a warm drink, fresh air through the window and nowhere else to be for a little while. This is my favourite spot that I would choose above all others, as the place in which to unwind and de-stress.

I don’t know if you’d agree, but we can so easily forget how important rest is until we finally allow ourselves to stop and breathe. Wherever you are this weekend, I hope you can take a moment to do just that 🤍

Being surrounded by farmland and wildlife, we just ask that dogs are kept under close control while out and about

It’s all about keeping Penpoll a calm, happy place for you, your dogs, and the countryside around us, and we’re always happy to chat this through with you. 🤍
