Canal Farm offers three comfortable self-catering cottages, each with its own private courtyard area that have been created through the sympathetic conversion of traditional farm buildings.

Today we finally managed to capture a video of Canal Farms resident Barn Owl!

We have seen him a lot over the past few weeks, during the day and early evening looking for some food for the baby Owlets, which we believe are being reared in one of our sheds ❤️

🍞 A little taste of Lincolnshire at Canal Farm Cottages 🍞

We love adding thoughtful local touches to our guest stays, and one of our favourites is our traditional Lincolnshire plum bread, supplied by the wonderful J. Shaw & Son

Baked locally and full of flavour, it’s the perfect treat to enjoy toasted with butter, alongside a cup of tea, as you settle into your countryside escape. A small detail, but one that reflects our love of supporting local producers and giving our guests a true taste of the area.

If you’d like to take some home with you, J. Shaw & Son are based at Buxton House, Alvingham and also stock local produce including potatoes, vegetables, salads and fruits aswell as local jams & honey, cheeses, coffee, bread and cakes!

We feel very lucky to have such an amazing farm shop on our door step 💚
