💨 Well… this isn’t something we see every day in Fotherby! 🇬🇧🐾

A bit of excitement on the edge of the village today as the Tour of Britain came flying past! 🚴🚴🚴

Of course, we couldn’t miss it — and Pippa the Goldendoodle 🐶 and Bertie the Whippet 🐾 came along to cheer everyone on too!

Not sure they completely understood what all the excitement was about… but they certainly enjoyed being part of it! 😂👏

Pretty amazing to have one of Britain’s biggest cycling races passing just 5 minutes’ walk from The Woodlands Cottages.

Just another day in the Lincolnshire countryside! 💚

🚴‍♂️ THE TOUR OF BRITAIN IS COMING TO LOUTH! 🇬🇧

We’re excited to have Stage Two of the Tour of Britain racing through our beautiful part of Lincolnshire! 🚴‍♂️💨

The riders will be travelling from Boston to Skegness, taking in the stunning Lincolnshire Wolds and Louth along the way.

And for guests staying at The Woodlands Cottages in Fotherby, the race route is just around a 5-minute walk away! 🚶‍♂️🚴‍♂️

What a fantastic opportunity to wander down, find a good spot and watch some of Britain and the world’s top professional cyclists race past.

It’s brilliant to see an event of this scale showcasing Louth, the Lincolnshire Wolds and our wonderful corner of Lincolnshire to a national audience. 🌳

We’ll certainly be heading down to cheer them on! 👏🚴‍♂️🇬🇧

Great news for guests at The Woodlands Cottages! ⚡

We’re pleased to say our new EV charging point is now installed and ready to use. 🚗🔌

Guests staying with us can now charge their electric vehicle conveniently on site. Simply bring your own Type 2 charging cable, connect your vehicle and scan the QR code at the charging point to pay securely through GuestCharge — no app required.

A huge shout-out and thank you to the local team at Croft Facilities Ltd for supplying and professionally installing the charger. From start to finish, they’ve been friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, and we’re really pleased with the finished installation.

It’s always great to be able to recommend another local Lincolnshire business, and we would certainly recommend Croft Facilities to anyone considering having an EV charger installed. 👏⚡

A bit of work around The Woodlands today! 🚜🦙

We’ve had Limited Access Excavations helping us stone up some of the gateways around the paddocks, ready for the wetter months ahead.

As you can see, the alpacas have been keeping a very close eye on proceedings and making sure everything is being done properly! 😂🦙

Always something going on behind the scenes to keep The Woodlands looking its best for our guests — both two-legged and four-legged! 🌳🐾

🇺🇸✈️🏁 From the USA to Cadwell Park… via The Woodlands Cottages!

What a weekend we’ve had at The Woodlands!

We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming the McKellar family and McKellar Racing, who flew over from the United States for Jaden to compete in the Pirelli British Sportbike Championship at Cadwell Park. 🏍️🇬🇧

They very kindly shared some fantastic photos from their weekend at the circuit, including Jaden in action on the famous Cadwell Park track — and we just had to share them.

For us, this is one of the lovely things about being based here in the Lincolnshire Wolds. We’re surrounded by beautiful countryside and only a short drive from Cadwell Park, so The Woodlands can provide somewhere peaceful to come back to after all the excitement of a day at the circuit. 🌳🏡

It’s quite something to think that a family has travelled thousands of miles from the States to race here in Lincolnshire and chose The Woodlands Cottages as their home from home while they were here. ❤️

What an experience to come across the Atlantic and take on Cadwell Park and the British Sportbike field. 👏🏁

A huge thank you to the McKellar family and McKellar Racing for choosing to stay with us. It was a pleasure having you and we hope this won’t be your last visit to Lincolnshire.

🇺🇸🏁 From the USA to Cadwell Park… with The Woodlands as home for the weekend! 🏡🇬🇧

We’ve had some very special guests staying with us at The Woodlands Cottages this Bank Holiday weekend.

It was a pleasure to welcome the McKellar family and McKellar Racing, who flew over from the United States for Jaden to compete in the Pirelli British Sportbike Championship at Cadwell Park.

They kindly shared these fantastic team photos from the race weekend, and we couldn’t resist sharing them with you!

Being just a short drive from Cadwell Park means we’re lucky to welcome riders, teams and motorsport fans from all over the world—and it’s been an honour to have the McKellar family choose The Woodlands as their base while racing in Lincolnshire.

🐾 We absolutely love welcoming our repeat guests back to The Woodlands Cottages! ❤️

And of course, it wouldn’t be a proper return visit without Chester & Lincoln making themselves right at home! 🐶🐶 We think they know the place pretty well by now. 😂

A huge thank you to their lovely humans for the beautiful flowers, card and treats they left us. Such a thoughtful surprise and very much appreciated. 🌹🍻🍫

It really does mean a lot when guests choose to come back and stay with us again — and seeing familiar four-legged faces at the stable door makes it even better. 🐾

We hope you’ve all had another wonderful stay and we look forward to welcoming Chester & Lincoln (and their humans!) back to The Woodlands again soon. ❤️

🐾🍻 The Louth Animal Pub Crawl… attempted! 🍻🐾

Well… we gave it a good go! 😂 and had some down time after a busy August The woodlands cottages

We attempted the legendary Louth Animal Pub Crawl and, although we didn’t quite make it to the end, we certainly had a great time trying! 🍺🐗🐄🦢

We were also supposed to get a photo when we finished… unsurprisingly, that didn’t happen either! 😂📸

A brilliant day, lots of laughs and definitely one to attempt again… although maybe with a slightly better strategy next time! 🍻😂
