🎃🐾 A SPOOKTACULAR PHOTOSHOOT! 🐾🎃

Our very own Bertie and Pumpkin were invited along to Rase Vets today for a special Halloween photoshoot with Tails and Trails Photography! 📸🧡

Bertie was his usual happy, smiley self, loving every minute of being in front of the camera! 🐶

Pumpkin, on the other hand, wasn’t quite so sure about the whole dressing-up business! 😂🐱 We think his face says it all!

🐈🧡 Our newest office assistant The woodlands cottages🐾

Apparently, the best place to supervise the paperwork is from inside my desk drawer! 😂

Our resident ginger cat has decided he’s taking over office duties today… although we’re not convinced much work is going to get done! 🐱📂

He’s clearly taking his role as Head of Drawer Management very seriously! 🤣❤️

Sunday mornings in Louth 🌿🐾☕

This morning we took Pippa & Bertie for a wander around beautiful Hubbards Hills — just a 10-minute drive from The Woodlands Cottages.

A walk by the River Lud, a wander down Love Lane, plenty of exploring for the dogs and, of course, a well-earned coffee stop at Crowtree Café. ❤️

One of the things we love about The Woodlands is having places like this so close by. If you’re staying with us, it’s a lovely way to spend a morning — especially with your four-legged family members. 🐶

❤️ Celebrating One Year at The Woodlands Cottages ❤️

A whole year… where did that go?! 🥹

One year ago, Tracy and I began our adventure at The Woodlands Cottages. We knew we’d taken on four beautiful holiday cottages in the Lincolnshire countryside… but I’m not sure we quite realised just how much would happen in those first 12 months! 😂

There have been new fences, gates, gravel, gardens, signs, picnic tables and plenty of jobs that started with the words “this shouldn’t take long…” 🤦‍♂️😂

But the best part has been bringing The Woodlands to life.

We’ve welcomed some wonderful guests, watched dogs race around the paddock, introduced people to our animals and seen families switch off, relax and simply enjoy being in the countryside. ❤️

And, of course, there’s our ever-growing Woodlands family — 7 alpacas, Buster & Trooper the sheep, Barbie, Bella & Betty the goats, Doris & Gloria the rheas, Nando & Dusty the horses, Kev, Barbara & Pumpkin the cats, Tommy the tortoise, Spike and the chickens… plus Pippa & Bertie keeping an eye on absolutely everything! 🦙🐑🐐🐴🐈🐢🐓🐾

There have been challenges, plenty of learning and probably more muddy boots than we ever imagined, but we genuinely wouldn’t change it.

So from Tracy and me, thank you to every single person who has stayed with us, recommended us, left us a lovely review, followed our adventures or simply supported us during our first year.

Here’s to year two, more happy guests, more memories… and hopefully no more animals. 😂😂❤️

Although knowing Tracy, I probably shouldn’t put that last bit in writing… 🤣

🐾🌊 BREAKING NEWS: THE DOGS ARE BACK ON CLEETHORPES BEACH! 😂🐶

Pippa & Bertie received the news this morning and immediately cleared their diaries. 📅❌

Pippa’s plan:
🐾 Run everywhere
🌊 Get unnecessarily wet
👃 Sniff absolutely everything
🙉 Develop selective hearing when it’s time to leave

Bertie’s plan:
💨 ZOOMIES.
💨 More zoomies.
💨 See just how fast a Whippet can actually go.
💨 Pretend he’s never heard the words “Bertie, come back!” 😂

They absolutely LOVE Cleethorpes Beach, and now the seasonal dog restrictions have finished, it’s firmly back on their list of favourite places. ❤️

And if you fancy a dog-friendly break yourself, The Woodlands Holiday Cottages is ready to welcome the whole family — especially the four-legged members! 🏡🐾

💚💛 HAPPY LINCOLNSHIRE DAY! 💛💚

What better way to start Lincolnshire Day than with a beautiful sunrise over the Lincolnshire coast? 🌅🐾

One of the things we love about The Woodlands Cottages is having the best of both worlds — the peace and open countryside of the Lincolnshire Wolds, with beautiful beaches just a short drive away.

From early morning walks on the beach to big Lincolnshire skies, rolling countryside, historic market towns and miles of places to explore, we’re very lucky to call this part of the county home. ❤️

And judging by this photo, our four-legged woodlands resident seems to agree! 🐕
