You don't have to have a dog to stay at The Copse… but we absolutely love it if you do. 🐾❤️

We really, really love dogs.

But we also understand something important…

Not every dog loves people. And that's absolutely fine.

Some dogs are nervous. Some are reactive. Some would really rather not have a strange human coming over to say hello — thank you very much! 😂

And we completely respect that.

If your dog wants to say hello, we'll be delighted to make a fuss of them. 🥰

If they'd rather watch us from a safe distance, that's absolutely fine too.

Reactive dogs are welcome here. Nervous dogs are welcome here. Dogs who think humans are slightly overrated are welcome here too. 😂🐾

We're happy to admire them from afar and let them have their space.

So whether you arrive with a dog who wants to be everyone's best friend, a dog who would prefer we keep our distance, or no dog at all…

you're all very welcome at The Copse. ❤️

Although if your dog does want to say hello, we're probably going to want to meet them. 😉🐾

We received some of the best feedback from our guests recently.

Copse on the Broads has been running for just over a year and the guests said they felt like they were the first people to stay in it because it was so clean, beautiful and well kept.

This feedback means such a lot to us as we do all the cleaning and maintenance and it is really important to us that the cottage looks it's best for all of our guests and never looks dirty or tired and looks as good now as it did on day one.

Yesterday was the perfect day to continue our walk along the Angles Way.
This leg was Homesfield to Harleston
We love bird spotting and we're excited it to see a Hobby hawk, Marsh tit and Kestrel all birds we hadn't spotted before alongside a beautiful Red Kite still beautiful but we have seen many before when we lived in Surrey.
The walk was tipped off by a lovely meal in J D Youngs a dog friendly pub in Harleston.
We passed through Mendham on the way fun fact about Mendham it has a split county past Before boundary changes in the 19th century, the parish sat 75% in Suffolk and 25% in Norfolk you can still see evidence of this on the little bridge crossing the river in the village.
