We’ve been working hard to make the Gatelodge super homely and comfortable, it’s had a thorough refresh throughout and a brand new spacious shower room upstairs.

This cosy cottage built in 1853 is the perfect place to stay to explore Caithness and the NC500.
The Gatelodge has 3 bedrooms (sleeps up to 5) and multiple dogs are welcome free of charge!

During the month of August we will be taking part in the Government's 'Eat Out to Help Out' scheme.
This offer is valid every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in August.
Customers can receive a 50% discount on their meal up to a maximum of £10 per person, this includes hot and soft drinks but not alcoholic drinks.

We’re asking customers to please book in advance for these dates so that we can ensure we maintain social distancing.

We absolutely love Dunbeath strath, about 10 minutes by car from The Gatelodge,it’s beautiful at any time of year and has lots of little nooks to explore, including several historic point of interest, like Dunbeath Broch!
