Well today is my last day of trading at The George.
Lydd it's been emotional and I've loved it and made some great friends and memories. Big thank you for all your support from day one you have been amazing and i didn't want to go but hey that's the trade now unfortunately but as one door slams in your face another one opens so hopefully see you all later or at O'Hara's Bar in a couple of weeks..x

Please note with the new tenants taking over on the 21st and lots going on the George will only be open tomorrow (Thursday) until Sunday. Normal hours 12-11.

This is hard to write as I'm sad, gutted and pi**ed off.
I have been given notice to leave The George on the 14th January as they have a new tenant coming in who is happy to sign a 5 year deal and spend money on the rooms and pay full rent etc!!. I was only on a 1 year deal like a tenancy so it could always happen but in this climate i didn't think it would.
Myself and my amazing team have worked so hard here to make it a great, friendly and inviting pub.
But unfortunately that's that so i would like to take this opportunity to thank all our amazing customers old and new.
It's been a pleasure to serve you all.
Hopefully see you all over the next 3 weeks.
