Come for a walk with Tess, Willow & Midge 🐾

We are so lucky to have access to Dartmoor right behind the Inn, so decided to bring you along for a little drizzly Thursday afternoon walk!

Willow did have a full puddle suit and wellies which in classic 5 year old style, she refused to wear opting for crocs instead!

Across high down there is the perfect walks for all ages and abilities, especially to create that appetite to join us for some lovely food or a drink after 🍻

Fantastic news, the bridge by Lydford Gorge National Trust is open once again!

Amazing to see that the bridge has been opened before expected and means that you will still be able to access us via Lydford whilst the A386 is closed from Harford Bridge to Mary Tavy station Road overnight from this evening (1st Sept for 5 nights)

We’re delighted to be supporting the England Endurance Team with Jo Chisholm proudly taking on the role of Team Manager ahead of their Home International competition in Scotland on the 5th & 6th September 🇬🇧🐴

For just £5 per ticket, you’ll have the chance to win an overnight stay with us at the Inn, along with a selection of other fantastic prizes.

Not only could you be a lucky winner, but your entry will also help support the England team as they represent their country, many for the first time ❤️🇬🇧

This competition is entirely self funded by the competitors so any funds raised goes towards subsidising their costs.

We’ve had the pleasure of hosting Lee, Paul & Andy en route to Plymouth ahead of thier mammoth 560km walk from Plymouth to Oldham for the The Ricky Casey Trust.

A little from Lee on their challenge:
‘In 2019, my close friend Ricky Casey, a much-loved local firefighter, sadly lost his life following a short but courageous battle with Renal Medullary Carcinoma (RMC), a rare and aggressive form of kidney cancer. Following Ricky’s passing, his wife Nicola established The Ricky Casey Trust in his memory to raise awareness of this devastating disease, support research, and help families facing similar circumstances.

This August, I will be undertaking an extraordinary ten day walk from Plymouth to Oldham, alongside my friend Paul and our support driver. Together, we will cover 340 miles to raise vital funds and awareness for the Trust. This challenge is both physically and emotionally demanding, but it is one we are proud to take on in honour of Ricky and to continue the work of the charity established in his memory.’

Middle White Pork Chop

How dramatic does this dish look? A firm favourite from the menu marrying up delicious Middle White Pork from Philip Warren Butchers with the classic flavours of apple and sage tied together with a rich red w**e sauce.
