With stunning uninterrupted, panoramic views, sunsets & starry skies in the Forest of Dean We invite you to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and create your own memories around the fire pit with our delightful shepherd hut. Well situated in a beautiful Wild Flower meadow with stunning uninterrupted, panoramic views, sunsets & starry skies in the Forest of Dean. Get back to nature an

d enjoy a gateway to the countryside in your own home away from home lovingly nestled into our 6 acre smallholding in the luscious Forest of Dean. Whether it be exploring the acres of forest or the beautiful countryside, mountain biking with your best buddy or a romantic getaway under the stars, we welcome you to experience the very essence of our glorious location and its surrounding attractions. The off-grid, timber-clad shepherd’s hut is as quaint as its surroundings, with white-washed and pale duck-egg walls, a little log burner and a tiny kitchenette. It sleeps two! There’s a fire pit, too, alongside outdoor seating and your own facilities hut with a compost loo and hot water shower. Owner Rachael's daughter is likely to leave you some farm-fresh eggs from her happy little hens with some locally produced products to start off your peaceful stay. For those with a love of wild water swimming, mountain biking, fishing and many more out door activities all on your door step. It’s surrounded by fields which are grazed by a small herd of what have been dubbed “the world’s cutest sheep” (valais black nose, if you’re wondering)
A wonderful selection of pubs/tea rooms within walking distance who serve some delicious meals.

Tintern is open as usual and welcoming visitors.

However, please note the current roadworks:
The A466 Wye Valley road is closed north of Tintern and Llandogo (between Redbrook and Bigsweir Bridge) until 26th June. Access is still available as usual from Chepstow and the M48, but we recommend that those travelling from Monmouth use the B4293 (Trellech Road) and approach Tintern via Catbrook.

You can still visit places such as the Old Station Tintern, where you can enjoy a ride on the Miniature Railway, enjoy tea and cake from the cafe, or wander along a relaxing one-mile riverside circular walk. Old Station Tintern

Visit Tintern Abbey, which has a company of archers setting up camp over the late May Bank Holiday weekend (plus events throughout the year). Cadw

There's also the stunning Wye Valley Sculpture Garden Summer Exhibition, which opens on Sunday 24th May and will be open every Wednesday and weekends (2pm–5pm) until 13th September. Wye Valley Sculpture Garden, Tintern

Plus, there are all the great cafés, restaurants and shops in Tintern itself to explore so please don’t let the roadworks put you off!
