With sunshine forecast over the next few days, it's a great time to take trip to Lyme Regis and enjoy all that this beautiful town has to offer. Take a stroll along the seafront and soak up the spectacular views.

There's lots going on over the Easter holidays, take a look at the Love Lyme Regis website at lovelymeregis.co.uk to see what's on, things to do, where to eat, shopping and more.

Just a few of our recommendations include a visit to Lyme Regis Museum, The Town Mill, Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium and Lyme Regis Amusements.

Spend some time mooching around Lyme's independent shops. There's some wonderful gift shops including Paper Bird in Coombe Street, The Urban Fox and Lyme Time Travellers in Broad Street and for everything you need for the beach, The Slipway by the Cobb.

For food and drink, Polar Pup Lyme Regis on the seafront has just opened offering gourmet hot dogs and ice cream desserts.

Restaurateur Mitch Tonks has just opened Rockfish in Lister Gardens offering fantastic seafood.

Strawberry Tree at the Town Mill offer wonderful Spanish tapas.

The Harbour Inn, Lyme Regis and The Royal Lion Hotel, Lyme Regis are great for dining out.

Herbies Lyme Regis near the Cobb is the go to for takeaway fish and chips or Coal Takeaway - Lyme Regis offering tempting authentic Greek takeaway choices.

A visit to the fabulous Asian street food takeaway, Red Panda Lyme Regis in Broad Street, is sure to make your taste buds rock.

For the juiciest, crispiest, most flavoursome fried buttermilk chicken, head to The HenShed situated at Lyme Regis Football Club.

Treat yourself to afternoon tea, a cream tea or a divine ice cream sundae at The Soda Fountain in Coombe Street.

There's something for everyone.

A Union flag flies at half mast on the Guildhall this evening in her honour.

A book of condolence will be opened at the Guildhall on Friday at 9.30am until 4.30pm. The book will be open Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 4.30pm and will remain open until 1pm the day after the funeral.

The mayor will give a statement from the town council and a proclamation on the steps of the Guildhall on Saturday 10th September at 2pm.
