There’s something so special about the New Forest in autumn, especially when you’re lucky enough to have a beautiful sunny day like this! 🍂🌳

We’ve recently bought ourselves an early retirement present – our very first motorhome! 🚐❤️ And because we love the New Forest so much, we decided there was no better place to make our first ever motorhome weekend stay than right here.

We had a wonderful weekend exploring, enjoying the autumn sunshine and were even lucky enough to spot the New Forest pigs out enjoying their annual pannage! 🐷🍂

We absolutely love sharing this beautiful part of the world with our guests at Acorn Lodge, and now we’re getting to enjoy it in a completely different way too. ❤️

One of the most wonderful signs that autumn has arrived in the New Forest – the pigs are out enjoying their favourite feast of acorns, beech mast and chestnuts. 🌰🍁

If you're staying at Acorn Lodge at Shorefield Country Park over the coming weeks, keep your eyes open when exploring the Forest… you might be lucky enough to spot these beautiful New Forest pigs snuffling around beneath the trees! 🐖❤️

Pannage is an ancient tradition that has been part of life in the New Forest for hundreds of years, and it's such a special sight to see.

There’s something rather special about starting the day with a refreshing swim before everyone else is up.

And this is one of the things we love about Acorn Lodge — you’re just a 10-minute walk from the beach, right on the edge of the beautiful New Forest. 🌳🏖️

🌟 Another lovely 5-star review for Acorn Lodge 🌟

We’ve just received this wonderful review from our most recent guests, Carolyn and her family, and it really made our day! 🥰

It’s so lovely to hear that they “really loved staying at Acorn Lodge” and found it peaceful, comfortable and homely. ❤️

They made the most of their stay too, enjoying the indoor pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub every day, as well as exploring the New Forest, spotting ponies around Sway and walking into Milford-on-Sea. 🌳🐴🌊
