What an evening that was…. Our fourth tent talk! It was a rare opportunity to hear a conversation on MERT, Afghanistan and the pioneering medical team that transformed emergency trauma care.

Robin, Marco and Tom captivated us with their time in Helmand Province. It was an utter privilege to see some of Marcos photos and hear first hand their extraordinary first hand experiences.

Tom Martienssen, a former MERT team member and documentary maker developing an incredible new film about the unit, and Marco Di Lauro, an internationally acclaimed Getty Images photojournalist who was one of the very few civilians to fly operationally with MERT. As soon as it’s ready we’ll be letting you know.

Huge thanks to these three inspiring individuals for giving us their time and for allowing us to hear their life changing experience with MERT - it was unforgettable.

A huge thank you to John Stride from the New Forest National Park Authority for delivering our third Tent Talk, such an engaging and thought-provoking talk on climate change, its impact on the New Forest, and the inspiring local action helping to build a more resilient National Park.

It was fantastic to see so many of you join us, ask insightful questions, and take part in the discussion. Evenings like these remind us how powerful community conversations can be.

Our second Tuesday Tent Talk was another sell out! A brilliant talk on the NHS from Lena Samuels (Chair of NHS Hampshire and IOW) and Tom Gurney (Director of Public Insight and Communications).

Their knowledge, optimism and conversation was captivating - it was a treat to hear them talk and answer some rather tough questions…. 🏥

🎶 OUR NEXT MUSIC EVENT IS HERE! 🎶

Freddie Lennox is a songwriter from Chichester, West Sussex, who crafts melodic folk-pop songs. He is inspired by Paul Simon, Jackson Browne, Bob Dylan, and the Beatles. He has performed at the Isle of Wight Music Festival, The Bluebird Club in Nashville, and is the support act for Jools Holland’s upcoming Summer Tour. He has just recorded a new album with legendary producer Ethan Johns, set to be released later this year.
