Well,it’s been nearly two years since we’ve posted anything, so we thought it was time for a catchup. We still have our caravan and it’s still at Bagwell Farm campsite in beautiful Dorset. We get down here at least once a month for long weekends or longer stays. It’s so peaceful you can hear the silence. Site facilities are great with excellent views and wonderful Staff. We do a lot of walking, usually involving the nearby Lagoon which Mika loves, or to the local village pub which was closed when we first came here. Fortunately the community raised money to reopen it and is now thriving, (I even own a few Shares in the pub myself). If you’re ever down that way, The Elm Tree Inn at Langton Herring is well worth a visit. The drive from the campsite on the coast road towards Bridport is stunning, passing through the beautiful village of Abbotsbury, and we usually end up at Hive Beach where we walk along the beach ( Mika’s favourite) and up over the cliff top before sometimes eating a superb fish lunch at the beach restaurant. Two very good friends of ours, who were coincidentally camping at Bagwell in their camper van when we were there, liked it so much they bought a second hand Caravan on site and now spend time pitched next to us which is a real bonus, especially as their dog Gus, is my new bestie, and this past trip they introduced us to their new 9 week old working cocker spaniel who was adorable. Our adventures abroad have stopped for now because when we have this on our doorstep, especially with this weather, we don’t feel the need to chase the Sun.
