We’re very excited to finally announce the Lynton & Lynmouth Charity Beer Walk, raising money for Exmoor Search & Rescue!

📅 Saturday 3rd October
🥾 Choose from an 11 mile or 5.5 mile route
🍺 Beer stops at The Hunters Inn Heddon Valley , The Crown Hotel, Rockhouse Lynmouth and, of course, The Rockford Inn - Exmoor, Devon
🏁 Both routes finish back with us at The Rockford

11 mile route
📍 Starts at The Hunters Inn
⏰ 9.30am

5.5 mile route
📍 Starts at the Valley of Rocks
⏰ 12pm

Entry is £10 per person, plus we’re suggesting a £10 voluntary donation to Exmoor Search & Rescue Team

We’d also LOVE everyone taking part to use the walk as an excuse to raise a few extra quid from friends and family. Every donation, big or small, will help support the brilliant volunteers who provide such a vital service across Exmoor ❤️

Expect a cracking day of walking, some very well-earned beers and plenty of good company — all while raising as much as we possibly can for a fantastic local cause.

Stop pet pesticides polluting our rivers 💧

Out and about on Exmoor this Easter? Please help protect our waterways by keeping dogs out of rivers if they’ve been treated with spot-on flea and tick treatments.

These products often contain powerful insecticides (such as fipronil and imidacloprid) that are harming aquatic wildlife. They can enter rivers when dogs swim, or even through drainage water after owners wash their hands post-application or bath treated pets.

How you can help:
• Consider alternative treatments such as oral or non-toxic options when combating ticks and fleas.
• Keep dogs out of rivers for at least 28 days after treatment if using spot-on products.
• Always pick up after your dog and dispose of waste responsibly.
