Thank you to Maria and Clive for a warm welcome to their guest house on 28th March for one night. We stayed in Prince George room and it was clean, comfy and decorated in a beautiful peacock theme. I loved the trinket boxes/chests that were filled with biscuits, tea, coffee, hot chocolate. Very generous, although we weren’t in the room long enough to use these luxuries due to being out exploring.
Breakfast was yummy with lots of choice of cereals and/or full English, and served with a good sense of humour. The guest house is in a good location next to the lower carpark.
We would definitely return if we find ourselves visiting this area again.

St Vincent’s is like a warm hug. This is our second stay and won’t be our last. We stayed in Orion - it’s just been freshly decorated but kept its cosy character. The bathroom is stocked with everything you need including facial wipes, conditioner, shampoo/body wash & body lotion. Big white fluffy towels and plenty of them.
The tea tray has a huge variety of teas, coffees (including fresh and decaf), hot chocolate and a variety of different types of biscuits. There is also an iron & board in the room, lovely fresh linen on the bed and handy extras such as a hairdryer and note pad and pen. Plenty of sockets for charging too!
Clive & Maria’s breakfasts are delicious and include a yoghurt, granola and fruit compote or a good variety of cereals, cooked breakfast includes all the usuals plus black pudding or there’s smoked salmon and eggs and toast and juices. His packed lunches are legendary. The roll/sandwich is so huge and with a gorgeous variety of fillings we loved finding out what we were getting every day. Clive also cooked us an amazing roast dinner on Easter Sunday, although believe this isn’t something they generally offer now, but if you get the chance you won't regret it.
There are now 5 cats at St Vincent - we love them all. We thoroughly recommend a stay there!

The building is full of character, the facilities clean, and Maria and Clive took excellent care of us. Yummy breakfast and Clive even kindly dropped us at the station when local transport wasn’t running. We would happily return to St Vincent Guest House.

Exceptionally warm welcome and very attentive hosts who made my stay feel like home from home. Nothing was too much trouble and Clive's amazing and delicious cooked breakfasts set me up for my day's walking. On the day that we wished to start walking early, the packed lunch was plentiful and varied and was thoroughly enjoyed! The guest house itself is beautifully decorated and a great deal of thought has gone into creating a different theme in each room so that each room has it's own individual charm and character. I stayed in 'Victory' on the 2nd floor which was warm and cosy and the roll-topped bath in the ensuite was a welcome luxury after a hard day's walking. I would highly recommend staying at this guest house whether you're looking for a quiet retreat, a gentle relaxing weekend by the sea or an energetic walking holiday exploring this beautiful part of the coast. Thank you Maria, Clive, Hazel, Felix and Moos for a perfect stay!

Had a great stay - Maria & Clive are excellent hosts. The one bit of constructive feedback, I gave on check-out, was received as intended and acted on immediately. I did not take breakfast, so cannot comment on that. However, I have no reason to believe that would not have been as enjoyable as the rest of my stay. Happy to highly recommend St Vincent Guest House.
