🤝 When old friends reconnect, it’s amazing how quickly the years disappear.
🏡 This week, Highcliffe House was delighted to welcome one of Ireland’s most talented and successful broadcasters, Neil Prendeville, and his wife Paula for a stay in our beautiful corner of 🌿 Exmoor National Park.
🎙️ For co-owner Robert Walshe, the visit was particularly special. Robert and Neil first worked together more than 30 years ago during the early days of 96FM and C103 in Cork, at the beginning of careers that would take them on very different journeys.
📻 Robert went on to present in Cork and Dublin before moving into senior leadership roles within Irish radio, while Neil established himself as one of Ireland’s most respected and successful current affairs broadcasters.
⭐ Today, Neil continues to entertain, inform and challenge listeners every weekday on the hugely successful Neil Prendeville Show on Red FM — a remarkable achievement as part of a broadcasting career spanning more than four decades. 👏🎧
☕🥂 Over breakfast, drinks and plenty of conversation, old friends quickly picked up where they left off, sharing stories, laughter and memories from some remarkable days in Irish radio. 😄📡
📚 Paula, herself a highly accomplished media and publishing executive, added her own perspective and memories, making for some wonderfully nostalgic conversations. ✨
🌊 Most of all, Robert and Richard loved sharing with Neil and Paula everything that makes Highcliffe House special — the sea views across Lynton and the Bristol Channel, the relaxed pace of life and the beauty of Exmoor National Park. 🌅🏞️💙
🙏 Thank you, Neil and Paula. It was a joy to welcome you both. ❤️
🏡✨ We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Come and create a few memories of your own this summer.
