Caffyns Farm finds itself as a contradiction, close enough to smell the sea air despite being a stone's throw from woodlands; exciting in it's immediacy to outstanding tourist sites yet relaxing in it's secludedness.

We believe the chance to absorb yourself within Exmoor, basing yourself at the multipurpose and family friendly Caffyns, is too tempting an offer to refuse.

It's been a wobbly start to June 🌦️🏕️

Summer ☀️ seemed to perform a bit of a hit and run🏃on us in late spring🌡️.

Endless rays 🌅 from shore to sea 🌊 were ours to receive until the skies simply stopped giving 🌧️.

Many thought the die has been cast 🎨. The clouts were out 👕. The thing about summer ☀️ is it feels as perennial as the grass 🟢 while it's here. But now... she's gone again ☂️.

Flaming June 🔥 has turned into more of a failed June ❌. But despite her false start 🏎️ we still have a lot of faith in this little month 🗓️. We might just have to wait for her to get going.... ⏱️☀️

You know maybe there's some meaning to those old adages 📖 of ours. Maybe absence ⏳ really can make the heart grow fonder 💕.

As much as each residing summer's ☀️ bustling hum 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🌟 seems as perennial as the grass 🟢 with which it falls upon, each Autumn 🍂 strips this buzz & sparkle ✨ from beneath our feet 👣 as quickly as it arrived 💨.

This isn't any ordinary absence, if such could exist 👋. This is the absence of the first timers. The early risers 🌄. The campfire obsessed 🔥 to those who wait till midday to get dressed 👕.

It's the absence of everyone. From those who brave horse rides 🐎 to those who bring their new brides 👰 and from famous big barns 🍳 to drunken nights on the farm 🍻.

It's for those who came to chase sunsets 🌇 to those who came to bask in the glory of a morning cuppa ☕ (and everyone in between). We've missed you 😓🙍.

It is you bring the colour 🎨 to this patch of Exmoor 🏞 land which we each call home 🏡 each year🌻.

And with summer seemingly blooming into life all at once this half-term week🌱🌺 we are a buzzing 😄 with all the future nostalgia 🏕🍻🐐 our next few days & months might create 🔥.

Because if there's one thing that life🧍‍♂️ on this little farm 🚜 of ours has taught 🏫 us, it's that it's not about the destination📍. Or even the journey 🗺. But the company 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦.

Hopefully see some of you this week/weekend... our old friends ❤❤❤

early may's rays ☀️🏕️

We are so back baby 🎉. A few of April's showers 🌧️ may have been delivered late this past bank holiday weekend ✌️ but that sure won't put a damper on the summer spirits 🌻 bubbling up underneath our increasingly warm collar🌡️.

The days are longer 🌅. The grass is greener 🟢. Our dear mother nature 👩‍🍼 has called time on the darkness. The season has well and truly been activated🚦 ladies and gents. And boy it isn't a moment too soon 💃.

In a little under 72 HOURS ⏱ some 650 of your hopes 🙏, dreams 💭 & unexercised demons 👿 will decend upon the farm 🚜 🍻 for their date with destiny🥊 at the Exmoor X - Trail 2026 🏃‍♀️🐐🏞.

This is YOUR moment 🤙. A chance to ride 👟 the respiratory rollarcoaster🎢🥵 granting refuge from the planned and predictable 🥱. A chance to jump🕴into the chaos ⛈ and be at one with Exmoor's livewire trails🏞. These chances don't swing by too often💥. So take it. Grab it with both hands 🖐 and engage both legs 🦵. Cause your gonna need them....🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

For Exmoor 🐐🟢 has seen your like all before 👁. Her dreamscape surroundings😍 have hallowed many of you suckers for punishment 😧 who have taken these same steps before 👣. She'll turn you legs to stone 🦵🗿 & spit you out 👅 onto her fabled hills without any of the beauty 😘 and grace her visuals 🏞 suggest. If you let her that is... 💪🎽

Remember you're already your own hero 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️ for making it to the start line 🛤. Now it's time to go and paint 🎨 that final masterpiece on Exmoor's rugged canvas 🖼!.

And after the pandemonium 💥 that only doing battle ⚔ with our trails 🏞 across the countryside's probable 4 seasons of weather ☀️🌧🍃can bring... just know that the farm 👨‍🌾 will be here for you come hell 👿 or high water 💧 that fateful weekend 🗓 with:

This little game we call life has been trying us all recently. But fear not for our girls have hatched a cunning plan that'll get yourselves feeling all sunny side up in no time 🐣💃🤙.

You guessed it folks your feathered friends have positively burst out of their shell recently deciding that what your scrambled egghead really needs is some egg-ceptional, egg-squisite and quite nearly shell-shockingly good Caffyns yolks in ya gut 🥚🐓🤤.

Roles include tractor work, animal duties & general farm maintenance. Competency in using a tractor is ESSENTIAL. An understanding of engineering is desired but not required 🚜.
