Today one year ago I lost my beloved husband and best pal, Alan Mackenzie. I still miss him terribly, the sound of his voice and his smile when he looked at me. I know the pain will lessen as time goes on and our memories will make me smile too but accepting he is gone forever is hard. I am, however comforted knowing he is loved and respected by his children, my children, and our grandchildren. Sleep well my love. X

Beginning to get busier as the year goes by (yet a faster rate than last year!). Looking forward to a visit from our German friends (teachers and students) from our twin town, Werne, They will be arriving at the end of March for about eight days. Next the Probe conference, then Easter, then the Lytham Trophy golf tournament. No more lazy days for a while!

Things are beginning to quieten down now. This was the last weekend of Blackpool illuminations. Visitors from now on tend to be visiting relatives or going on works' Christmas outings. Soon we will be closed for about a month for a well-earned rest.
