It’s baby common season 🦭

This little boy came to us on Thursday after being found on the beach locally with a nasty mouth infection. He’s responding really well to treatment and had improved massively already 🙌🏻

Unlike grey seals, common pups are born without a white coat and are ready to swim from day one, so finding one on the beach without their mother doesn’t always mean they’ve been abandoned, sometimes they come out for a rest while mum watches from the sea!

The beaches are busy with people right now, but the seals have just as much right to relax on the sand as we do! So if you find one, please keep your distance, and give us (or your local seal sanctuary) a call and we can assess the situation from there. Thank you 💙
