FOLEY FEST - TWICKENHAM - 18TH JULY 2026

The Joneses, tribute to The Smiths are honoured to be invited to play at Foley Fest a festival fund raising event.

Background
Aine Magee, AKA Miss Foley, died in November 2024 after a long battle with cancer. Aine was a much loved wife and mother to two teenagers. Aine was also a teacher and taught for nearly 30 years. She spent over 20 years teaching at the Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School (CVMS)

The Smiths were Aine’s favourite band and were a continuous thread throughout her life. Therefore, we are delighted and grateful to announce that The Joneses have agreed to headline. The Joneses are legends amongst the worldwide community of Smiths fans where they are renowned both for their stripped down and dramatic tribute based on The Smiths live gigs and their lead singer’s uncanny resemblance to Morrissey. We warmly welcome them to Twickenham.

We were helped and supported by a number of charities whilst Aine was sick. They are reliant on donations and we wanted to support them by organising an event in Aine’s memory.

Alongside her family, friends and her work, Aine loved her music so we organised Foley Fest 2025. It was a day of music, singing, dancing and laughter and suitably honoured Aine’s memory.
