🌊 New Atlantis Alliance Hub Makes Waves in Mablethorpe - a first of its kind coastal safety collaboration launches on the Lincolnshire coast.
MABLETHORPE, it’s here!
The highly anticipated Atlantis Alliance Hub has officially arrived in Mablethorpe this week, marking a major milestone in coastal safety and community collaboration.
The Atlantis Alliance Hub is the first of its kind, bringing together a wide range of vital organisations under one roof, including HM Coastguard, National Coastwatch, Lincolnshire Police, RNLI Lifeboats, RNLI Lifeguards, Mablethorpe & Sutton Town Council, East Lindsey District Council (ELDC) and other national & local partners.
At the heart of the hub lies a shared mission: “To make the Lincolnshire coast the safest place to live, visit and play.”
With over four million visitors flocking to the Lincolnshire coast every year, the new hub tackles the unique challenges of keeping both residents and holidaymakers safe. Located on the promenade above the town’s paddling pool, it allows partner agencies to be at the very centre of coastal life, offering real-time response capability, community engagement, and vital safety information.
⛱️ 🌊 From sea and beach safety to crime prevention, scam awareness, caravan security, domestic abuse support, and flood alert information, the hub will act as a one-stop centre for safety, advice, and reassurance. Not to mention stickers and colouring books for the little ones.
Its strategic location also means that during emergencies, the hub can be rapidly transformed into an operational base, ensuring agencies can respond to incidents swiftly day or night.
🗣️ “This hub is a game-changer for Mablethorpe and the entire Lincolnshire coast,” said PCSO Sarah Morris from the Mablethorpe Policing team. “By working side-by-side, our teams can provide faster responses, stronger community support, and greater safety for everyone who enjoys our beautiful coastline.”
🤝 The Atlantis Alliance Hub has been made possible thanks to funding from East Lindsey District Council, provided through the East Lindsey Investment Fund, which is to support projects across the district which meet four distinct target areas: community development, promoting the visitor economy, business support and to boost the attractiveness of the area.
🗣️ Councillor Sarah Devereux, Portfolio Holder for Partnerships, said: “East Lindsey District Council is delighted to be able to support such a vital facility, which will strengthen the experience available to residents, visitors and businesses in Mablethorpe and Skegness.
“Thanks to funding from ELIF, the Atlantis Alliance Hub will allow rescue and emergency teams to deliver a more coordinated and effective response to the challenges they face every day—whether that’s beach safety, locating missing people, tackling crime or improving fire prevention.
“By supporting this initiative, we are helping to create a safe and sustainable environment for holidaymakers along the coast which, in turn, will support our local economy.”
