🦈 SHARK FOUND ON INGOLDMELLS BEACH! 🌊

A live shark was recently found stranded on Ingoldmells Beach and thankfully was rescued by the Skegness Coastguard. ❤️👏

Before anyone panics, this was a smooth-hound, a species commonly found around the UK coastline. Despite being called a shark, they’re considered completely harmless to people.

Smooth-hounds don’t have the sharp, pointed teeth you might expect from a shark. Instead, they have flat crushing plates, earning them the nickname “gummy sharks”, which they use to crush crabs, lobsters and other shellfish. 🦀

They’re particularly common in shallow coastal waters around the UK during the summer and autumn and can grow to around 3–5 feet (1–1.5 metres).

It’s amazing to see just how much marine life is right on our doorstep! 🌊🦈❤️

Thankfully, this one was rescued and given the help it needed. Well done to the Skegness Coastguard for stepping in. 👏

🚴‍♂️🇬🇧 TOUR OF BRITAIN – WHAT AN AMAZING SIGHT! 🇬🇧🚴‍♀️

What an incredible experience for everyone who had the chance to see the Tour of Britain race through our beautiful Lincolnshire coast today! 🎉 we are watching from on the TV 📺

It was fantastic to see the riders speeding through Mablethorpe and Sutton-on-Sea, with crowds gathering along the route to cheer them on and soak up the atmosphere. 🏁🚴‍♂️💨👏

It’s not every day we get to see some of the world’s finest cyclists racing right through Mablethorpe 🌊🚴‍♀️

A huge GOOD LUCK to all the riders taking part! 💪🍀🏆 We hope everyone has a fantastic race and, most importantly, a safe journey.

What an exciting day for the Lincolnshire coast! 🎉 The Tour of Britain is passing through Mablethorpe and Sutton-on-Sea today, Thursday 3rd September, with the riders travelling down Victoria Road before heading along the coast towards the spectacular finish in Skegness. 🚴‍♂️💨
If you're staying at the caravan, it’s a fantastic opportunity to get out and watch some of the world’s finest cyclists racing through our lovely seaside towns! 🙌

The weather isn’t looking the best for next week, so we thought we’d put together some ideas for families staying in Mablethorpe and the surrounding area. 🥰

❤️ A Little Note From Us About Our Caravan ❤️

🏖️ Behind every booking, there is a lot more involved than people may realise...

We absolutely love welcoming guests to our caravan at Golden Sands, Mablethorpe, and we genuinely want everyone who stays with us to have a lovely holiday and make special memories. ❤️

But owning and renting out a caravan isn't always easy.

This isn't a business, and we don't rent our caravan out to make a profit. The money from bookings helps us cover the ground fees, bills, insurance, upkeep, running costs and repairs — and anyone who owns a caravan will know just how expensive those things can be!

✨ We do our best to help every guest by answering questions, giving advice, helping with arrival details and trying to sort out any problems where we can. We know that holidays are important, and if something goes wrong or plans change, we completely understand that it can be frustrating or upsetting. We always try to listen and show kindness and empathy. ❤️

However, we also hope for a little understanding in return.

Recently, we have had situations involving things such as electric cars being charged from the caravan, confusion over entertainment passes and requests for refunds. We understand that every situation is different, and we will always try to be fair and reasonable, but as private caravan owners, there are some things that are simply outside of our control.

We can't always provide refunds when plans change, and we can't cover costs or take responsibility for things that aren't included in the booking. We always make the information we can available and will do everything reasonably possible to help.

🏡 This caravan is our little happy place too. We work hard to look after it so that our guests can enjoy it, while also allowing us to spend precious time there together when we get the chance — making memories of our own. ❤️

All we ask is for a little kindness, understanding and respect. In return, we promise to continue doing our very best for everyone who chooses to stay with us.

Thank you to all our lovely guests who support us and look after our caravan as if it were their own. We truly appreciate you more than you know. ❤️🏖️
