A brilliant attraction for our guests at Penrhyn Dyfi to enjoy.
Congratulations to Dyfi Osprey Project on their amazing work.

In September 2019 we started construction of a new building we were told we needed to budget a minimum of £2,000 per m2 for; and preferably a lot more.

Either that or downscale the building substantially.

With the help of our main contractor - Gareth Jones (Newtown), our brilliant Architect - Dafydd Tomos (Machynlleth), and an army of local trades-people and volunteers, we did neither.

We built our new visitor centre for 40% less than the minimum suggested price whilst refusing to downsize it. In fact, we actually made it around 15% bigger than planned to accommodate a large toilet for severely disabled people (Changing Places Toilet).

We also made it Carbon Positive by around 500% - the most environmentally sustainable building of it's kind in Wales.

We would like to thank all the people that made this dream a reality, including all of you that play the lottery each week.
