s IS a working dairy farm and my home. There is always something to see. Although Mackworth House Farm is in a rural location it's located a short drive away from Derby City Centre. Other than the mooing of cows, the clucking of chickens, it’s generally a peaceful place to be. A quaint, unique, stylish, farmhouse of charm and character, Mackworth House Farm is steeped in local history with its grand façade, oak staircase, parquet floors and oak beams it is a great place to escape to.

This place is beautiful - well decorated, extremely clean, and the host was very friendly and accommodating. My husband and I were looking for a last minute place to stay at 10pm at night as we’re pretty spontaneous when we road trip (lol) and every hotel we called was fully booked. When we called Mackworth House they luckily had the top floor suite still available! We were so pleasantly surprised with how clean and comfortable everything was, and especially with the kindness of the host Peter. He was very warm and welcoming despite us coming so last minute and went above and beyond to make sure we had all we needed for our short stay! Do yourself a favor and book a long stay here - we wish we would have planned ahead and done so :)
