The Mallaig Book Festival is a shining star of the Scottish literary calendar, brightening the dark November days with an eclectic mix of events from 8th-10th November.

We're delighted to have four authors hosting events at the festival this year. Go on a tour of myth and memory in the Highlands with Dougie Strang, discover more about the plight of orcas with Natalie Sanders, delve into Highland history with Alistair Moffat, and encounter a bloody Viking raid with David Greig.

Unbelievably it is our 10th year hosting A Write Highland Hoolie. There is an outstanding line up (to be announced very soon). To make the most of the weekend and join the authors throughout the weekend come and stay at the west highland hotel all rated include breakfast lunch and dinner. - there are very limited rooms left so be quick! (Unfortunately we are unable to take bookings from non residents for dinner

We're delighted to announce that West Highland Hotel Mallaig is now taking bookings for this year's A Write Highland Hoolie over the weekend of November 6-8.

As this is our tenth anniversary year we're expecting demand to be high, so booking early to avoid disappointment is strongly advised.
