Our lovely guests have just left our shepherd's hut this morning, so I asked them if they'd managed to stay cool. They said they'd made good use of our little covered picnic bench which is set in the shade of 2 oak trees.
Our ensuite shepherd's hut sleeps 2, and 2 dogs are welcome (we also have a 1 metre high portable fence). The hot tub can also be used for a cool plunge if you prefer! There's a little kitchenette but we think now is the time to make use of the BBQ and patio. Oh, and there's a fan too! Minimum stay is 2 nights.

If you haven't stayed with us before, our en-suite shepherds hut is situated in a small, private paddock and looks out onto farmland in a quiet village near Malton, North Yorkshire.

It's perfect for a romantic short break - celebrate your partner;s birthday, your anniversary or even come for a mini-moon!

The wood fired hot tub can be pre-heated for the first night of your arrival as an optional extra for just £28.

If you want to rustle up a meal then our kitchenette is surprisingly well equipped, or you can BBQ outside on the patio. If yo'd prefer to take time off from cooking why not walk 10 mins down to one of the local, dog friendly pubs for a meal and a few drinks.

New Quality Control Inspector on duty!
We like to ensure that Pheasant's Roost and Rose Cottage are spotless, and I'd like to say that I'm training the next generation to do the same, but I'd be lying 😂😂😂.
As we live on site, my granddaughter came over to the shepherd's hut with her Pops to see where Nana was, and decided to explore the cupboards under the bed. One of the lovely things about working for yourselves is that we can be flexible and spend more time with the little people. They don't stay little for long! This one is an absolute character and highly entertaining 🥰
