Today we celebrate the 170th Anniversary of the Free Trade Hall and reflect on the building’s remarkable history.

During its storied past, the site was home to the Halle Orchestra, hosted Churchill for one of his most famous speeches, ignited the spark of the suffrage movement, and saw musical performances from the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Bob Dylan, and David Bowie.

Now, as The Edwardian Manchester Hotel, guests can experience the markers of the history up close and personal.
