Just had to share this as it was a really good idea, and everyone seemed to love it.

Guest's celebrating a birthday decided to hire a hot tub spa from Goodwins in Margate. For a very reasonable price they will also provide hot water so it can be used straight away! It has its own lights, and now that we have also added lights in the garden, it was perfect for a lovely relaxing time....

I just had to share this. When I look at this photo I just have to giggle out loud. This is the best photo-bomb I've seen. It's either - 'so you wanted to take a photo of the snow, well tough!' Or 'you wanna a piece of me?' 🤣🥰

Now the grey squirrels have come for lunch too! They have discovered that if you tilt the squirrel proof feeder with the seeds in, the seeds fall out and you get to eat them 🤣🥰. Clever little things. They love the fat balls too, but just can't get to those darned nuts. Well there is always tomorrow. 😍

Got a great bird feeder for Christmas, but they are not the only ones feeding from it. Caught the white squirrel helping himself. The big feeders are squirrel proof, but it doesn't stop him from having a go. They have even found a way of actually getting entire fat balls out of the container. Yesterday they made off with 3! I say they, as I think he may have had a hand from one of his grey buddies! Either way, fun to watch 🥰🤣

Hello to all of our lovely friends and guests, past, one couple present - they arrived a week or so before lock down and decided the safest option was to stay, as they are from London and came here by train, and as they can work from home they can self isolate easily, and to future guests.

Thought you might like to see our new lamp post. That poor wall has been hit several times so we thought we would add something nice, old fashioned and preferable something that lit up so visitors could see it easily. And when it does light up, it has one of those lovely bulbs that flickers.

Also, I got an interesting email from the tourist board today which said that both Dreamland and the Margate Caves website have free downloads to entertain both children and adults. So if you are looking for ideas to entertain do have a look.

Happy 2020 to all of our friends and guests, and happy to see our new visitor still here in our garden yesterday running around. Pleased our grey ones haven't frightened him/her off.

Today whilst looking out of our kitchen window I saw the large fluffy white tail of a squirrel. It seemed a bit odd as we have two resident grey squirrels nesting in our garden, but neither has a tail that colour. The squirrel moved and I could then see our new visitor who is totally white and absolutely gorgeous. It happily played for a bit climbing the trees in our garden, and then seemed to see one of our grey resident squirrels who was happily sitting on a wall near to the window. He/she went up to the grey squirrel which seemed a friendly move, however the grey squirrel didn't seem too impressed and chased our new visitor up, down and round and round the trees. This picture is of the white squirrel on his way to introduce himself! Anyway I hope our beautiful new arrival stays and they all become friends.

If you are in Margate Old Town, you definitely need to try Mullins Brasserie. It's a modern European Restaurant with a hint of the Caribbean. We tried it last Friday and the food was gorgeous, the service great, and the restaurant very chic. They have a special menu for lunch which is £12 for 2 courses and £15 for 3 courses. Loved the food, both mine and his! Will definitely go back.🥰

Whilst cleaning out the pond we found 16 frogs. Then today we were finally able to introduce our terrapins before we put the plants and rocks in, or I should say one terapin and a yob! After the initial surprise of their new home, they wouldn't stop moving. It's so good to see them have so much more space and yet they still want to fight!
