🏊‍♂️ The Doggy Swimming Pond Is Here!
This is the big one! 🎉

We’ve now completed the new doggy swimming pond — we just need to add the water!

Measuring an impressive 10m x 12m, there will be plenty of room for your four-legged friends to cool off, swim and have some fun, especially during those lovely hot summer days.

And there’s more…

We’re waiting for the grass to be sown and the fencing to be installed, which will allow us to increase the existing dog field by approximately half an acre.

That means even more space for your dogs to run, play and enjoy themselves! 🐶

Our new Doddy Dog Field has proved hugely popular since opening — and we’re not finished yet!

Our new loyalty scheme is now up and running.

Simply create an account when making your booking, and we’ll keep track of your visits. Once you’ve completed 10 paid sessions, we’ll send you a one-off code for a FREE one-hour session.

We’ve also retrospectively added previous bookings to accounts where possible.

If you haven’t created an account yet, don’t worry! Just create one the next time you book and we’ll add your previous sessions where we can.

🌱 Getting the Grass Back to Its Best
The recent dry weather has unfortunately presented us with a few challenges. The grass struggled to grow, while the weeds seemed to thrive!

Thankfully, conditions are now becoming more favourable, so we’ll soon be treating the weeds and re-seeding areas with new grass.

The field may look a little less than perfect for a short while, but it’s all part of the process of getting Doddy Dog Field looking its absolute best again.

We think it will be well worth it! 🌱🐾

New Cafe for 2027!
We’re delighted to welcome Craig & Tracey as the new Lakeside Café team for 2027!

Over winter, the café will be fully refurbished, with a new design that can be enclosed during cooler or wet weather, or opened up to enjoy the sunshine and summer breeze. It will also have heating and air conditioning.

The café will be open 7 days a week, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus fresh, warm takeaway rolls in the mornings.

We’re really excited about what’s coming for 2027! 🎉

🍻 FEWBAR – Live Music Coming in 2027!
We held our first evening of live music at FEWBAR over the August Bank Holiday, with the brilliant Christian Smith entertaining us with acoustic covers.

It went down so well that we’re now putting together a programme of live music for 2027! 🎶

🐾 DODDY DOG FIELD – EXCITING UPDATE! 🐾 partnered with Fields End Water Caravan Park.

We’ve been very busy behind the scenes and things are really starting to take shape! 😍🐶

Here’s what we’ve been up to:

💦 🐕 NEW DOG SWIM POND!
The pond has now been created and just needs the water adding! We’re hoping to have the new area open by the end of November.

🌱 THE PARK HAS BEEN EXTENDED!
We’ve increased the size of the field and are now giving the new grass time to establish and grow. 🌿

🏃‍♂️ AGILITY EQUIPMENT HAS ARRIVED!
Our long-awaited Fields End Water colour-branded, Kennel Club-quality agility equipment has finally arrived! 🎉🐾

🌿 MORE GRASS, FEWER THISTLES!
The thistles have now been sprayed off, and we’ll be working on increasing the grass coverage to make the field even better for your dogs.

👀 AND IT’S LOOKING REALLY GOOD!

There’s still a little work to do, but we’re getting there and we’re really excited about how it’s all coming together.

We can’t wait to open the new and improved Doddy Dog Field and let your four-legged friends enjoy it! 🐕❤️

I forgot to mention with the good weather post the other day, that the FREE fishing offer ends at the end of September, so book quickly and mention the special offer at the time of booking.

Book a pitch on The Main Park, Paddock or Woodside from 15th September to the end of the November 2026, and you will receive "Unlimited Free Fishing" for the duration of the stay. All you need to do is add in the booking notes "Free Fishing Offer" when you book.

☕ Lakeside Café – An Exciting New Chapter for 2027!
We’re delighted to announce some exciting news for the Lakeside Café!

Last month we announced the retirement of Colin & Sandra after many years — thank you both for everything! ❤️

For 2027, we’re thrilled to welcome Craig & Tracey, who will be taking over the café and already have some big plans for the winter.

Having stepped in to provide our takeaway service several times this summer, we’ve already had some fantastic feedback on their food and service.

Over the winter, the café will be refurbished with a fresh new look and a fantastic design that can be fully enclosed during cooler or wet weather, or opened up to make the most of the sunshine and summer breeze. There will also be heating and air conditioning, making it a comfortable place to enjoy whatever the British weather throws at us!

The café will be open 7 days a week, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as offering fresh, warm takeaway rolls in the mornings.

We think it’s going to be a fantastic addition to the park for 2027! 🎉

📅 2027 Bookings Are Already Very Strong!
We’ve just enjoyed our best summer ever for guest reviews, with so many of you telling us how friendly and helpful our team is, and how much you love seeing the park looking so clean, tidy and beautifully maintained.

That feedback has translated into very strong bookings for 2027.

If you’re thinking about coming back next year, or have never visited us before, we’d recommend booking early to secure the dates and pitch you want.

And if you’re not 100% sure about your dates yet, don’t worry! You can move your booking free of charge up to 21 days before your arrival date.

So there’s very little reason not to get next year’s holiday in the diary! 😊

🏊‍♂️ A Doggy Swimming Pond Is Coming!
This is the big one! 🎉

Work on our brand-new doggy swimming pond is due to start on 14th September.

The pond will be approximately 10m x 12m, giving your dogs plenty of room to cool off, swim and have some fun — especially during those lovely hot summer days.

And the best bit?

The work will not disrupt your use of Doddy Dog Field. The pond is being created outside the existing field and will have its own separate fencing.

Once completed, the project will also allow us to increase the size of the existing dog field by approximately half an acre, giving your four-legged friends even more room to run and play! 🐶

🎣 The Pool – Improvements Underway
The Pool has been fishing much better since we reduced the stock levels, resulting in improved catches.

There’s still more work to do, though!

We’ll be feeding the fish throughout the autumn and plan to remove more fish over the winter to continue improving the fishing.

We’ve also made access easier. You can now park on the south bank next to your chosen swim, and this is now available to all anglers, not just Blue Badge holders, while weather conditions allow.
