Whether you are looking for the ideal location for an overnight stay, or to host a conference, a wedding or a family celebration, The Three Swans Hotel offers the perfect choice. The former 16th century coaching inn blends traditional hospitality with the comfort of a modern hotel and has been providing excellent food, drink and warm hospitality for over 500 hundred years. The hotel is perfectly p

laced in the centre of the historic market town of Market Harborough and has it’s own large residents car park. There are easy links to local motorways and major road networks, and it is close to the town’s railway station which has mainline services to London and the North. It is as comfortable, welcoming and elegant today as it was in its coaching heyday, when visited by King Charles 1 the day before the famous battle of Naseby in 1645. In 1688, Queen Anne, whilst still Princess of Denmark, stayed in Market Harborough, when the hotel provided lodgings for her and her considerable entourage, including the Earl of Dorset and the Bishop of London. The earliest reference found for the hotel, makes it clear just how old it’s association as an inn is, as it is referred to in the will of Richard Cade, dated 27th November 1517. Published records show that the hotel was the pick-up point and stop over for the prestigious thrice weekly London coach run and postal service as early as 1765. The elaborate gallows sign which overhangs the High Street is considered to be one of the finest in England. Certainly the wrought iron work is a splendid example of craftsmanship which dates back to the 18th century. The original inn dates from 1517 when it was known as ‘Ye Sygnet of Swanne’.

The World Cup is coming, and we'll be bringing you all the drama, passion, goals, and unforgettable moments live on our BIG SCREEN!! 🎉

⚠️ ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE – SATURDAY 6TH JUNE ⚠️

Please be aware that there will be temporary road closures in place on Saturday 6th June due to the Carnival 10K and Carnival celebrations taking place throughout the day.

Guests visiting us are advised to allow extra travel time and check local diversion routes before setting off.

Please see the map below for full road closure details and affected routes and the below link

🚫 The roads are closed from 9am. Below is a map of the closure, with red as a closed road and orange as no access.
Roads will be reopened in a staggered way as the final runners and then the final vehicle heads through the town.
All roads will be open by 2pm.
