“ Liked: Very friendly and welcoming staff. I liked the access and exit set-up for the site and the pitch was a great size with the electric hook-up easily identifiable. One of our reasons for staying here was for the local ParkRun, for which we couldn't have been any closer, perfect!

Disliked: My only minor dislike is that the showers are quite small and could benefit with a more modern update. That aside, they were very clean and fit for purpose. ”

This does remind me of our touring days

Karen has been packing for the caravan since Wednesday.

Not physically. Mentally.

The physical packing began on Friday morning and took four hours and twelve minutes. There is a list. There is, in fact, a list of lists.

The kitchen box is packed in order of use. The bathroom bag is organised by category. The bedding goes in last and comes out first, which requires a specific sequence of events that Karen has explained to her husband on three separate occasions.

He carries things in. He does not put things away. This is understood by both parties and is, on balance, the correct arrangement.

Everything in this caravan has a place. The place has not changed since 2019. It will not change.

Karen's husband once moved the wooden spoon.

They do not talk about this.

The caravan is ready. Karen stands in the doorway and surveys what she has built.

It is, as it always is, exactly right.

“ Liked: Absolutely everything, peaceful and amazing atmosphere everyone is so friendly. The owners cannot do enough for you and are make you feel so welcome. Will be returning again most definitely. So clean tidy and welcoming.
