Also kinda chic…

to be covered in fish slime.
To throw a summer party in the rain.
To clear up after storms.
To spend half of winter in two padded coats just trying to keep warm and dry.
To spend an unreasonable amount of time worrying about water.
And to discover there is always, ALWAYS something that needs fixing.

🎣 A quick reminder for everyone fishing Lincoln Lane Lakes

We’ve currently got some temporary bait restrictions in place to help us protect the water quality and keep conditions as good as possible for the fish.

⚠️ NO GROUNDBAIT AT ALL until further notice.

This includes method mix, crumb, mash and spod mixes.

We’re also asking anglers to:
• Keep loose feeding to an absolute minimum
• Avoid heavy baiting or pre-baiting
• Never throw unused bait into the lake at the end of a session
• Use no nuts, uncooked particles or homemade particle mixes
• Avoid oily food products, pet foods or unsuitable homemade baits
• Never wash bait tubs, food containers or other equipment in the lake
• Take all bait, food waste, packaging and litter home with you

These extra measures are temporary, but they’re important. A little extra care from everyone now helps us protect the lake, the fish and the quality of the fishing for everyone.

Sorry guys we're closed yet again tomorrow. We've got various pumps and aerators going but we're really battling the heat and therefore the oxygen levels.

We're giving the fish a couple of days just to rest and regain while it cools down.

We don't take these decisions lightly but we do take advice from the environment agency and keep a very close eye on the fish.

When we reopen we may look at adding some extra precautions but we'll let you know here. We ask that rules are always followed even those put in temporarily.

Thanks so much for your support. It's been one long hard summer but we'll keep going to keep your fishery the best it can be!

This is what fishing is all about 🎣

Time outdoors, sharing a laugh, passing on a few tips and enjoying the day together — whether that’s with family, friends, your usual fishing buddy or someone you haven’t seen in far too long.

That’s exactly what our Take a Friend Fishing Day on Saturday 8th August is about.

Despite the name, it doesn’t have to be a friend you bring along, and they certainly don’t have to be a complete novice. Bring your partner, your children, a family member or another angler. The day is simply about getting together and celebrating the joy of fishing with each other.

We’ll also be open as usual for regular day fishing, so everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy a day by the lake.

Good company. Good honest fishing. A proper day outdoors. 🎣
