Massive thank you to the Icknield Way Morris Men and the Garston Gallopers for their annual visit to The Blue Boar last night.
Despite the rain, the show went on! When the weather had other ideas, the dancers simply brought the tradition indoors and performed in our restaurant, much to the delight of everyone watching.
It's fantastic to see these wonderful groups keeping such an important piece of English heritage alive. The music, dancing, colour and community spirit created a brilliant atmosphere and reminded us why traditions like these are so special.
A huge thank you to all the dancers, musicians and supporters who joined us. We look forward to welcoming you back again next year!

🚗 The Blue Boar Classic Car Meet is Coming to Aldbourne! 🚗
We're delighted to announce that, with the support of Aldbourne Parish Council, our first Blue Boar Classic Car Meet has been given the green light!
Join us on a Saturday morning for a fantastic gathering of classic, vintage and interesting vehicles on the village green, alongside fellow enthusiasts, great company and a warm Blue Boar welcome.
🎟 Entry is ticketed at £10 per vehicle, which includes: ☕ Tea or Coffee
🥓 Bacon Roll or Sausage Roll
Spaces will be limited, so advance booking will be essential.
Whether you're bringing a cherished classic, a modern classic, a sports car or something a little different, we'd love to see you there.

We're excited to unveil our very first commissioned piece from the incredibly talented local artist, Carl Firstbrook.
This beautiful painting captures The Blue Boar as it stands today and will serve as a lasting reminder of this chapter in the pub's history.
As many of you know, we're planning to give The Blue Boar a fresh new look later this year, making this artwork even more special as it will be the final artistic representation of the pub before its makeover begins.
This latest addition will proudly join the collection of fantastic Blue Boar artwork already created by other talented local artists over the years, helping to preserve the history and character of our much-loved village pub for generations to come.
A huge thank you to Carl for creating such a wonderful piece that perfectly captures the charm, atmosphere and community spirit of The Blue Boar.
