Easter weekend 4/5/6 is available at Craftsman’s Cabin.

Spring is properly arriving on the Levels now. The orchard is beginning to stir, the light is softer, and the moor stretches quietly out beyond the cabin.

Wake slowly with fresh eggs from our neighbours, a proper farmhouse breakfast on the veranda, and wide views across West Moor.

There’s space to wander the moor now the flood waters had receded, explore the lanes, and plenty of perfect hiding places for an Easter egg hunt.

A simple Somerset Easter, just as the season begins.

Book now. Link in bio. 🌱🌱🌱

S N I P P E T S of Spring; it’s is in the air on the Somerset Levels. The first blossoms are bursting, and the floodwaters are receding, leaving the roads almost clear again. There’s that quiet buzz of anticipation that comes with the turn of the seasons after winter’s hibernation.

After the gentle stirring of the past few weeks, it feels as though spring’s energy has truly arrived — bringing light, momentum and the promise of longer days ahead.

To celebrate the arrival of spring, we’re offering three nights for the price of two throughout March.

A little extra time to slow down, light the fire, walk the on moors, watch the sunset over the orchards and wake up to birdsong.

Book a March stay and your third night is on us.

Come and soak it all in.
It’s magic here.

T H E first full weekend of March (6/7/8) has unexpectedly become available so we’re offering 3 nights for 2 for the start of Spring.

It’s that quiet turning point in the year. The air still chilly in the mornings, but the light stretching further across the fields by late afternoon. The orchard is only just beginning to think about blossom. You can feel the shift, even if it’s slight. Spring is in the air.

The fire is still needed as the light fades, and you’ll come back from walks with cold hands and pink cheeks. There’s something about this time of year that makes simple things feel enough — a long sock in the outdoor bathtub, supper cooking slowly, a book by the stove. No rush, no noise. Just space to be.

If you’ve been craving a short escape this is your moment.

C E L E B R A T I N G the slivers of light that have slipped past the February rain.

The evenings are slowly drawing out. The winter sun lingers a little longer over the orchard and fields, and small signs of spring are beginning to show.

Lambs’ tails in the hedgerows,
Blackthorn buds about to burst, snowdrops in delicate drifts and the first yellow daffodils lifting their heads.

Heralds of the season to come.
And of the light returning to the Levels.

Spring stays are filling up — find your quiet few days in the countryside via the link in our bio.

D R E A M I N G of soft spring days and warm summer nights.

The first stirrings of the season are showing, and in just a few short weeks the acres of orchards around Kingsbury will burst into bloom — clouds of sweet apple blossom behind every gate, the air soft with the promise of warmer days ahead.

We only have two weekends left in March, and April is filling quickly too.

Book a stay in Somerset and usher in the spring from the quiet of the cabin.

Turning towards spring. The longest nights are behind us, and spring is very gently starting to stir.

This week, you can really start to notice the evenings getting lighter.

An Ice Moon rises over the Levels as Imbolc marks this quiet threshold of the year.

Come to Somerset to take stock, and drink in the returning of the light.

S O M E R S E T in flood. After days of rain, the Somerset moor is full of water — a watery wonderland stretching out in front of the cabin.

Despite the storms, a surprising stillness settles when the water arrives —
sound softens and is light reflected. It's magic ✨

S O M E R S E T storms have been passing through, bringing rain and wind across the Levels. The moors are full and the weather has settled in. Inside the cabin, the fire is lit and the kettle is on. Timber walls, soft light — a quiet place to settle in. Cocooned, watching the weather move across the moor.
