Please Share! - Birchover Open Gardens – 20/21June 2026

This well-established event takes place from 12.30 pm to 5.-00 pm, with 20 gardens open. Home made cakes, sandwiches & drinks in the village hall.

You will find displays of woodwork, stone masonry, paintings and stalls: Crafty Green Fingers (local plants & crafts), Betulla Jewellery & homemade elderflower cordial. St Michael’s Church, with its Ashford Marble font, elaborate carvings and stained-glass windows (created by Brian Clark) is a focal point of the village. This year it will be decorated with flowers from florist, Robert Young alongside a. display of black & white postcards of local and village scenes.

£5 Adults, children/Students FOC (free parking). The event is dog friendly too. Ticket sales (opposite the Red Lion Inn) & some stalls will be CASH only.

The event is proudly sponsored by local businesses:
Barn Farm Campsite, AG&M Granite and Quartz Surfaces and Birchover Stone Ltd.

Printing and banners by Northend Printing Company, Sheffield.

Funds raised will support the Village Hall/Church/Village Funds.

A BIG THANK YOU! to everyone who stayed with us and supported our May Bank Holiday Weekend, raising money for Ashgate Hospice and other good causes.

Thanks to the stallholders, attractions, musicians, entertainers, Matlock Fire Crew, mobile bar, food outlets, visitors and residents who came along.

Thank you to the Barn Farm Staff for your hard work - the site looked perfect.

There will be an update later on regarding monies raised for Ashgate etc.

WOW the weather looks amazing for the May Bank Holiday here at Barn Farm – we welcome some new stalls!

Elaine will be bringing Cherished Basketware and Home Crafts, Youlgrave Guides will be selling home-made bunting, Val will bring the glitter with Funtastik Glitterz and Claire will be joining Lena in the Well-Being Area with Sound Healing to help aid relaxation. The Horse Box Sauna will be located there too.

Compass Fostering will be setting up their information stall and on both days there will be a Family Hamper to be won in support of Ashgate Hospice. The winning number will be drawn in the evening. Ashgate volunteers will be selling home made cakes and scones and children can take part in some fun games to win prizes.

Look out for Bella’s Tarot Readings, these were really popular last year and this summer the Tarot readings will take place in the quieter yard area.

On Saturday Animal Encounters will be at 1.30 pm, slightly later than planned.

Barn Farm themed gifts available from the campsite shop - mugs, key rings, fridge magnets etc.

MAY BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND FOOD & DRINK LINE-UP.

Drum roll please…

* LOADED will be kicking things off on Friday night and serving all weekend with their incredible loaded dogs and fries.
* PIZZA PI, the wood-fired pizza gurus, will be serving up the crowd favourites on Friday and Saturday.
* SHERWOOD FIRED then takes over on Sunday with more freshly fried pizza goodness.
* also joining us on Sunday, PIGS IN CASKETS, will be serving up a delicious hog roast that you won't want to miss.
* Breakfast is sorted too! BUTTY BOX will be serving breakfast each morning (Saturday, Sunday and Monday) with locally sourced bacon and sausages to set you up for the day ahead.
* And of course, THE HORSE & JOCKEY will be on hand all weekend to keep the drinks flowing, quench your thirst and get you in the party mood!

Great food, cold drinks and an amazing bank holiday atmosphere - we can't wait to see you there!

HOT HORSE SAUNA is saddling up for the May bank holiday weekend at Barn Farm... things are about to get steamy!

Today, Barn Farm Campsite was proud to host the CoppaTrek in support of the amazing CoppaFeel breast cancer charity.

Participants took on either a full marathon or a half marathon route through our gorgeous Peak District countryside, starting and finishing here at Barn Farm.

With encouragement from the charity's ambassador, Giovanna Fletcher, the atmosphere was incredible from start to finish. A fantastic effort by everyone involved for such an important cause.

Big up to CoppaFeel and to all the walkers, supporters, volunteers and organisers! ❤️

Not long now until the Barn Farm May Bank holiday event!

This year we are excited to introduce something a little special… a converted horsebox sauna, courtesy of Irony Fireside, perfectly placed next to Lena's Wellbeing tent.

Take some time out to unwind over the long weekend. Enjoy the soothing heat of the sauna, refresh yourself with the plunge pool and fully relax. Then drift over to the wellbeing tent, where you can treat yourself to calming therapies including reiki, massage, and Indian head massage.

The perfect way to rest, recharge and enjoy the day before the evening entertainment.

Don't forget to bring your swimming costumes!

Performing everywhere from festivals to pubs, they bring the fun and tunes that you haven't heard in ages. ‘Ben, Alan, Harry and Matt never take things too seriously, so a fun time is guaranteed'.
