Stunning B&B to explore the beautiful Peak District. Sheriff Lodge is an adults only peaceful haven. It is suited to all walks of life.

Having started as a cottage in 1740 and extended in 1908, Sheriff Lodge is now a five bedroomed bed and breakfast. All dietary needs are catered for including gluten free, vegetarian and vegan. The breakfast is sublime and will set you up well for the day ahead. Each order is prepared by locally sourced produce and homemade jams, marmalade, bread and Hollandaise sauce will tempt you. There are walks close by as well as plenty of attractions for all ages and abilities. There are always vouchers to use for attractions such as Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Heights of Abraham etc. There is also a private sitting room for guest's use which provides local information, maps, brochures etc as well as magazines, books, games and is also licensed. The Lodge is in the more tranquil area of Matlock and restaurants and bars are within easy walking distance. Free onsite parking with EV charger.

🎄 Chatsworth House Christmas starts on 7th November, so not long. The market, garden trial and house will be open so get a ticket and book a stay 🎉🎉😂.

🥾 Walks from the door. Many guests just want to park up for the weekend and enjoy the countryside here in the beautiful Derbyshire fields. It’s been a glorious day today for taking in the peace, tranquility and calm of the views.

🛍️ We have a new shop in Matlock 🎉 It looks very exciting, lots of great goodies and local produce. Quite an emporium. Just what Matlock needs, something new and refreshing well done Ginger Butchers at New Close Farm 👏👏👏

🚂 It was lovely to see the EWS diesel engine today. It’s the first time I’ve seen this one on the Rowsley to Matlock Peak Rail route. I hope they have a good weekend with their special event - Ploughman’s Lunch by steam, The Dram Route (wh**ky tasting 😋) and Cheese & W**e Tasting - how fun

🥾 Some pics from our walk today, thankfully very cool in the woods. The Derbyshire countryside really does take your breath away. Views across to Stanton Moor. Even Sakura actually stopped to have a look 😁
