I posted recently about the Matlock Well Dressing event and can now add a photo of the completed product that can be seen in the Diana Memorial Garden on Bakewell Road. I went with some friends to see the team constructing the dressing and was asked if I would like to join them. Results - the top bit of the K in Matlock is my handiwork! Very kind of the team to ask if I would like to help them. This year's theme was Local Heroines.

Come and see the design and construction of the 2019 Well Dressing. The Well Dressing was designed with the help from pupils from a local school and will be constructed from Monday 24th June to Friday 28th June at St Giles Church, Matlock. It will then be displayed in the Diana Memorial Garden on Bakewell Road from Saturday 29th June until the 8th July. Well Dressing is an ancient Derbyshire tradition to celebrate water and the life it brings.

Our inquisitive little robin always appears when John works in the garden. Obviously waiting in case he can spot a worm!
