🌿 It feels good to be back.
The last few months have been some of the hardest we have faced. Bobby had a triple heart bypass 3 months ago - completely out of the blue after a scary autumn and winter of unexpected heart problems - and for a while, we honestly weren’t sure where we’d be come spring.
But here we are. Bobby is fighting fit, Campsite prep is well underway, and I cannot tell you what it means to be out here doing this again together.
Watching him on the road to recovery has reminded us both to slow down and appreciate everything we’ve (well mainly Bobby has) created here - the wildlife, the space, the horse track, our lovely liveries and the community of people who come and stay with us each year.
We are so grateful to everyone - the Doctors and Nurses and the people who’ve checked in on us and supported us. And for this little piece of Derbyshire that keeps pulling us forward - even when you’re knee deep in mud and snow in the middle of winter wondering what on earth you’re doing!
The pod is open and campsite opening day is coming - and this year, it means more than ever. We can’t wait to welcome you back. 🌄
