This is VERY exciting – watersports are back at Carsington Water! 🎉

And for us at Peak and Dale Places, this is such brilliant news.

The new team at Carsington Waterside are now up and running, bringing paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing and cycle hire back to the reservoir – with even more to come.

I went down to meet them last week and have a look at what they’re creating, and it’s going to be fantastic for our guests. Carsington Water is right on the doorstep of Stainsborough Hall, so having all of this available again is a huge bonus.

And it gets better… 👀

They’re also planning managed open-water swimming and a lakeside sauna. 🌊🔥

PLUS, they’re putting together a special discount code for Peak and Dale Places guests, which we’ll share as soon as it’s ready.

So whether you fancy:

Our new yoga studio at Stainsborough Hall is officially in use 🧘‍♀️

We wanted to create a calm, practical space that groups could genuinely use during a stay — whether that’s for a morning yoga session, a wellness weekend, a retreat, or simply a bit of stretching before heading out into the Peak District.

It’s been lovely seeing the room full for the first time, and even better seeing it being used exactly as we imagined.

Happiness is finally being able to get back into the driving seat after an op. (Even if it is just a lawnmower!). It's a bit surprising that there's any grass available to cut.
