Here are just a few things there are to do in the local area:

• Beaches!!! Poldhu, Gunwalloe, Kynance, Mullion Cove....and loads more!

• Trebah Gardens - Such a brilliant day out that we joined as members that day!

• Roskillys Farm – Fantastic ice cream, baby cows and goats, a great shop, café, restaurant and more. A good family trip.

• Kynance Cove – We know we've mentioned this before but....we saw the pictures before we went and didn’t quite believe it….but can confirm it’s really that beautiful. Cliff walk down to pirate-esque cove and beautiful turquoise waters. Went for an early morning swim there when it was almost deserted, great way to start the day.

• Lizard Point – Most Southernly point of the UK. Beautiful walk, good to check off the list…and if you have time the light house is worth a visit too.

• Porthleven – Foodie heaven.

• Poldhu beach café & surfing – A close beach that is fortunately very beautiful, has a great café (we would recommend the breakfast rolls and “hot chocolate with everything”! It also has a brilliant surfing school.

• Gweek Seal Sanctuary, Flambards Amusement Park & Museum, the Historical town of Helston...and the subject of Daphne Du Maurier's famous novel, 'Frenchman's Creek'.

"Commit to sit!" A new garden seat to reflect and rest.
We're a bit slow coming out of hibernation but we have been busy in the garden although you wouldn't know it now as we're battling with weeds. Fortunately this chap 🦌came in to help and nibble a few!

A haven for wildlife, here's our efforts at a dead hedge! Touched by the two episodes of The Wild Gardener (sadly no longer on player), this is an easy way to use up garden prunings and already the birds are loving it.

FYI…Hang on until Wednesday for your Gear Farm Pasties!

We are now closed until Wednesday 1st of September.
I have just one secret ingredient when it comes to making our pasties, sausage rolls and cakes and that is our amazing staff!
This summer has been particularly busy and we are all taking a long weekend off to charge our batteries. Therefore we will be closed until Wednesday the 1st of September.
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. I know I am!

Tomorrow (26th August) is Coverack's second Sandcastle and Sand Sculpture competition of the summer. Register from 2pm on the beach, with judging from 3.30pm. We ask for a minimum donation of £2.50 per structure and our funds are used to continue to run community events and to support Coverack Primary School.
