Brethren just to remind all that we will be holding instruction classes every Sunday and all brethren are welcome to attend to try out an office or a lecture or just to watch how we prepare for our ritual. Our next regular meeting will be on the 21st January where we will put our new affiliate through the EA degree which will be conferred by PM Bobby Simson. Both he and the new RWM would welcome your support.

As our 300th year draws to a close I would like to bring warm and seasonal greetings to all from the RWM office bearers and brethren of Lodge StJohn Maybole No.11. It has been a celebratory year in many ways with a tremendous Burns Supper in March, various Masonic events throughout the province and culminating in our 300th anniversary and divine service within the Carrick Centre in October. Freemasonry is an organisation that provides fraternal friendship and brotherly love where likeminded individuals can form lifelong friendships, support and raise monies for local and national charities and promote social inclusion.
At this festive season whether you are a Freemason or not think about your neighbours and give a little time to visit them and say hello, have a cup of coffee or tea with them and let them know you care. Brotherly love and good wishes are for all not just Freemasons. Isolation affects a great number of our communities and we can all play a part in caring and sharing.
So the brethren of lodge St John Maybole No.11 extend the hand of friendship to all within and outwith the town of Maybole and that hand is extended with love and affection whether you know the handshake or not. Merry Christmas.

Guys it would be good to kick on from the fantastic 300th rededication and get guys active in the lodge even if it is just coming along to meetings. If any of our newer member over the last 5 years or so would like a non speaking office such as Marshall, librarian etc it will get you back in the swing. There is no pressure to learn any degree work just to come along and enjoy each others company. If you can’t make every meeting it is okay family and work always come first but even if it is a handful of meetings you make a difference.

To all

Please note that Lodge StJohn Maybole No.11 will hold its 300th rededication ceremony on 11th October 2025 in the Carrick Centre Maybole. The ceremony starts at 1pm prompt (brethren advised to be there at 12.30pm latest)and will be carried out by the Most Worshipful Grand Master Mason and his deputation from Grand Lodge of Scotland. It is hoped that as many members as possible of Lodge StJohn Maybole No.11 will attend as a ticket is not required for the ceremony. The invitation is extended to all Master Masons to come along to this historic event as Lodge StJohn No.11 is the oldest Masonic Lodge in Ayrshire.

It is with sadness we mark the passing of Bro David Grierson MM of Lodge StJohn Maybole no.11. He was first and foremost a devoted family man and will be sadly missed by the Brethren of the Lodge but more especially his family.

A funeral service for David will take place at Masonhill Crematorium on Wednesday 28th May at 2pm.

Family flowers only, however a donation can be made if desired in David’s memory in aid of C.A.N.

Rest in peace.

All

Please note that those who have reserved a ticket for our 300th on the 11th October should contact myself to arrange payment. That will allow me to gauge how many tickets may be available for sale.

Even though the numbers are limited to 110 to attend the meal following the rededication the Carrick centre has the capacity to accommodate up to 250 for the ceremony itself and therefore even if brethren don’t have a ticket for the meal they will be able to attend to share in this momentous occasion for Ayrshire Freemasonry.
