The Ghillie Bed and Breakfast offers the discerning traveller everything they need for a luxurious stay in the beautiful Scottish Borders. From Afternoon tea and homemade cake on arrival to Hypnos Superking Beds with fine Egyptian cotton bedding and White Company robes and toiletries, you can be assured of the perfect getaway from it all with 1st class hospitality. Exclusive use of the The Ghillie itself gives total privacy and seclusion, incorporating a new bespoke interior lounge area, private bathroom, boot room and two luxurious individually designed bedrooms.

We can offer The Ghillie for either 2 guests only, a family of 4 , or 2 couples travelling together. Locally sourced breakfast served in the main house, which dates back to 1720, gives chance to experience a home from home and opportunity to plan your day with our knowledge of the area and surrounding delights !

The stunning Bowhill Estate, Abbotsford House, Mellerstain House and Floors Castle are among the many Stately Homes, Castles & Estates close by with the four Abbeys of Melrose, Dryburgh, Kelso and Jedburgh all within easy travelling distance. Clay Pigeon shooting nearby at Bisley at Braidwood, scenic walks, cycling and fishing on the glorious River Tweed are all readily accessible for the sporting traveller. The new Tweedbank rail line near Melrose brings Edinburgh only a 40 min journey away.
