Week 2 of our 12 Weeks of Summer Produce 🌿

This week, we’re celebrating asparagus as we reach the tail end of the season.

One of our dinner specials this week is pan-fried cod with chargrilled asparagus, a poached egg and brown butter sauce, a dish celebrating the last few weeks of asparagus season.

The asparagus is supplied by and grown by at Portswood Farm in Great Ellingham. Supporting local growers and showcasing the best produce Norfolk has to offer is what this series is all about.

If you’d like one last taste of asparagus before the season ends, don’t leave it too long.

🍓 Over the next 12 weeks, we’re going to be introducing some of the fantastic local producers we have here in Norfolk.

First up,

You may know them as the iconic giant strawberry on the road to and from Fakenham. During the summer months, whenever we can, we like to get our strawberries from Sharrington and support a brilliant local producer.

This week, we popped over to collect some fresh strawberries before bringing them back to the kitchen and turning them into our British Classic Strawberry Shortbread, Pigs’ Style.

From field to fork, it doesn’t get much more Norfolk than that.

Fresh from the kitchen and packed with new flavours, this latest menu brings together everything we love most: quality local ingredients where possible, bold British flavours and the quirky dishes we're known for.

You'll find new dishes including chargrilled rump of lamb and salt-roasted salmon, tempting iffits such as crispy BBQ-marinated cauliflower and deep-fried Copy's Cloud, plus desserts worth saving room for, including peach & raspberry sherry trifle and pineapple upside-down sponge.
