We had the most incredible meal at The Boathouse in Trearddur Bay, a pop up from St Bart’s restaurant, London. The setting alone is worth the trip, right on the water, but the food was the real showstopper. Every course felt considered and beautifully executed.

Feeding the alpacas is a stay highlight at Ffermfach, but they are not the only ones after your attention. The hens and Flip the duck have perfected their cheeky snack routine and will happily try to charm you in the hope for a treat. At Ffermfach, our hens and duck have the run of the place all day, pecking about wherever they please. But catch us at dusk and you might spot our nightly ritual: rounding up the flock and tucking them safely into their coop, away from any prowling fox. Some evenings they follow along like clockwork. Other evenings, let’s just say a bit more persuasion is required!

Celebrating something special? Let us know - we’re happy to add a few little touches to mark the occasion. We’ve dressed the huts for honeymoons, anniversaries and birthdays, we’ve even had a proposal here at Ffermfach (she said yes!).

Yesterday we posted about Copa’s garden is dog friendly. Today we accidentally left the gate open and found out it is alpaca friendly too! All 4 wandered in for a nosy look around. We are delighted we got a gentle hum of approval!
