Hopefully goes ahead

The Rhydycar West Planning Application has now been submitted.

At 10.52 am yesterday (March 7th 2023), a planning application for the Rhydycar West sports and leisure resort was submitted to Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council. We are proud to confirm this update after years of conceptual and technical planning and extensive public consultations. The team is now excited to take the next step towards bringing this world-class resort to life.

This is an important milestone for the project, and we believe it will be a huge opportunity for Wales and the Valleys. We have been encouraged by the positive response from the community of Merthyr Tydfil who have demonstrated overwhelming support for our proposals.

Good news everyone, we will be back open from tomorrow!

After a load of hard work from the team and some warmer weather we're finally able to reopen the park from tomorrow (26th). We're excited to get out riding again and can't wait to welcome you all back. 🙌

The Rhydycar West Team can confirm that a statutory public consultation will commence tomorrow, Thursday, 28th April, until Saturday, 28th May.

You may now inspect copies of the proposed application, plans, and supporting documents online at www.rhydycarwest.com/planning.

We invite your comments on our proposals in advance of the formal planning submission.
