To say we've had a tough week might be an understatement. 🫠

Over the last few days, we've been dealing with a wildfire that reached the boundaries of the bike park. Thanks to the incredible efforts of the fire service, Natural Resources Wales, and our own trail crew and staff, the situation has been brought under control and significant progress has been made.

We're now pleased to say that, following ongoing assessments, we're confident the bike park can reopen safely to riders. 🙌

A huge thank you to our amazing community for all the kind messages, support and patience while we've been closed. And of course, massive respect and gratitude to the fire crews, NRW, and our hardworking team who have worked tirelessly to keep the bike park safe. 🫶

Our thoughts are also with the many other communities, businesses and outdoor spaces that have been affected by similar incidents. We know we're not alone in facing these challenges, and we're wishing everyone impacted a safe recovery. ❤

For the past few months we have been working with Merthyr Council to finalise the planning conditions for Rhydycar West. We are pleased to let you know that on Wednesday 8 July, the Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council Planning Committee unanimously approved the finalised planning conditions.

We are continuing to work with the Council to finalise our Section 106 agreement, which we hope will be concluded and signed soon.

We will continue to keep you updated on developments.
